Alas, the beautiful Black Swan sim is closing on the 17th August. Coincidentally that’s the day my department in work is closing. Spooky. Anyhoo, if you have never visited the sim, now is the time to do it. It really is a must-see. In celebration of this unique sim, several designers have created content inspired by earth, air, fire, and water.

three skins you must own
Yes, it’s been a long while since my last post. Curse you RL, I shake my fist at you. Anyhoo, I’ve been binging on skins of late. There have been a few new releases lately that are just delish and I thoroughly recommend that you check them out.
This is the Faith skin from Atomic. At the moment there are just two teaser make ups in store, but methinks a full range will be released soon. I love the kinda frowny eyebrows on this one. And the lips. And the nose. Ok, yeah, I love the whole damn thing. You really should go try a demo, cos this is tasty.
I prayed super hard to the lords of League, that their yummers Misty skins would be released in a paler tone. It looks like my prayers paid off, cos paler skins yay! I love this skin so much I even bought it in the darker tone (I only really wear paler skins). Odds are you’ve seen these skins already, but doesn’t hurt to mention something so pwntastic.
Last but not least, the new release from Exodi called Lily. I love the subtle shading on this one, and you get plenty of options with each make up. The eyes in each of the photos are included with these skins too. You don’t see enough Exodi on the feeds, so go get yours today and we can prance merrily through SL in our beautiful skins.

Hey again, two posts in one day *le faint*. I’m not much of a summer person in RL ergo I have very few summer dresses in RL. But this is SL, and I can wear what I want dammit. This dress is a new release from Kenzie, and you must go out and buy it or I’ll give you a chinese burn mwahahaha. Yeah, here be a picture *mwah*

Readers of this blog and my plurk will know that I was uber-excited about Hair Fair, and I was definitely not disappointed! So I have constructed a list of my Fair faves. It’s pretty damn long. God knows I tried to cram more in there but I figured it can’t be a list of favourites if you include every hair you bought. As it is, the list stands at 18 hairs. I managed to limit myself to only one Lamb hair (I wanted to include all of them!). Anyhoo, go check out the Hair Fair (if you haven’t already) and wave your L$ goodbye. Well hello there! And happy hump day! This here is just a wee look of the day that I threw together. A few days ago I decided to not spend any lindens until the hair fair. Ha, it’s not going so good.
The new jacket from Milk Motion is just awesome. I love the big shouldery bits. And if you were asleep/playing with yourself in the other room, Maitreya released a bunch of clothes. And of course they’re gorgeous. With all the new releases coming out just now, I’m gonna be skint by the time hair fair rolls round. Doh!

Yeah, I’m getting pirate vibes from this ensemble. I guess the eyepatch is to blame. One of my coworkers pinged herself in the eye and scratched her cornea :( she’s wearing an eyepatch for a few days, so this is in honour of her! Sadly, her eyepatch isn’t quite as fabulous as Alyson’s.
5 reasons to pee yourself with excitement
Oh my, tis fourteen looooooong days til the 2009 Hair Fair. I am so looking forward to it (lag, high ARCs, unrezzing sculpties and all) because it means three to five new hairs from each designer. And more hair is a good thing people! Since we won’t see what the newly released hairs are til the fair opens, I thought I’d give you a wee list of the designers I’m most excited to see.
1. Lamb
My Lamb obsession is hardly a secret. Lamb Bellic’s hairs rarely leave my avatar’s head. Awesome styles + yummy textures = win. The promise of at least three new Lamb styles alone is more than enough to convince me that the Hair Fair will be awesome.
2. Maitreya
One of my favourites at last year’s Hair Fair, Onyx LeShelle’s hairs never disappoint. The style on the right with the yummers texture change hat was one of the styles last year. Can’t wait to see what Onyx has for us this year!
3. Foam
Foam is new to me, and the hair is just the shiz. The textures are shiny and vibrant and the styles are sexy. The place to go for big hair methinks.
4. Truth
I think pretty much everyone has some hair from Truth, and with good reason! Truth Hawks’ work just gets better and better. The latest textures and styles are delicious indeed.
5. Fashionably Dead / MIASNOW / Exile
Of the three, I’m most looking forward to seeing Toast Bard’s new stuff. At least threeeeee hairs *dance*. I’m excited about MiaSnow purely based on the fabulous wild woman hair. And Exile is just awesome.

It’s so damn hot… milk was a bad choice
Yes, the sun has come to Scotland. And I am not used to it. It feels like 30°C (it’s actually only 23°C, which is barely warm to some people, but shh), the sun is beating down on my poor ghostly pale skin, lobsters are walking around in socks and sandals. Yes, it’s been a sweaty day here in Wonderland. So when it came to playing dress-up with my avi, I couldn’t bare to put on many layers or accessories. So here ya get a cute summery outfit from Cupcakes.
The skirt is just the cutest! Yellow is such an awesome colour. Sadly, it makes my RL skin look horrific, but thankfully this is SL :D Anyhoo, check the Cupcakes mainstore for the skirt and the top in a million and one colours. I’m gonna go sit in a cold bath ’til Autumn gets here.
